Exploring Backbends 

March 10th, 17th and 24th 

Saturday 11:30am-1:00pm

$60 for all sessions or $25 casual

In these focused asana sessions you will be encouraged to explore your body, developing curiosity and awareness, a targeted warm up in the form of a vinyasa practice will prepare and warm the body, you will then learn how to get in and out of various asanas safely with support and the use of props. It is run over consecutive weeks so you can build on the learning and gain confidence in executing the asanas. 

It is for all levels and you work at your own pace.

Challenging asanas are used to propel the alchemical process of change by taking us into the unknown, where trust in the body is built. New pathways are created as energy is unlocked and we tap into our potential leaving behind fear and doubt, opening up new possibilities of awareness and exploration.

Class sizes are limited to 10 participants so that the best possible support and guidance can be given. 

This course is for anyone that wants to understand how to increase spinal movement and core stability as well as understand key backbend poses. Energetically backbends open the heart, move energy through the spine and release fear and doubt. Backbends are nourishing and deeply rewarding.

We will look at the spine anatomically and work specifically with understanding your own limitations and tailoring poses to open and stretch in those specific areas safely. We will work on understanding how to support the spine with core stabilisation.
