This class is a fusion of breath work, yin yoga and qigong aimed at balancing yin Qi and crafted according to the seasons. Qigong is an ancient Taoist form to cultivate vitality and balance, through breath and movement. It is a subtle fluid moving practice linked to the 5 elements and Chinese medicine aimed to guide our awareness into the sensations of the body, to gently support the mind to surrender to the breath in order to experience life fully in a moving form. It marries beautifully into the stillness of a yin practice as the body and mind are stable and ready to feel into the shape. We will end with pranayama or meditation, providing steadiness, exploration and time to process life.
in Spring The yang starts to shoot up from the darkness of the soil, the tree is ready to blossom and the leaves start to grow. New life starts its journey upwards into the world. Our internal landscape follows the patterns of nature, we have more energy, we feel revitalised, nourished and inspired, if balanced we have a clarity of purpose and clear commitment to a idea, decision or direction
